The Grand Island Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition
Randy See, Project Coordinator randys@kdsi.net
Mission Statement
Our mission is to improve the health, well-being, and safety of Grand Island residents by working collaboratively to reduce substance abuse and challenge social norms about substance use.
Problem Statement
The illegal use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by youth is the problem we are targeting.
The next Coalition meeting will be held on Thursday, September 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the
Grand Island Administration Building in the Platte Room.

Our Mission:
To educate adults to the consequences of allowing underage drinking.
To reduce the number of underage drinkers in Central Nebraska.
To reduce the number of alcohol-related vehicle accidents attributed to underage drinking.
To alter the community perception in regard to underage drinking.
To meet these goals, area law enforcement personnel will present the facts of underage drinking to community and parental groups in their area. The measure of success will be the reduction of alcohol-related vehicle accidents and the reduction of "minor-in-possession" arrests.
